Amprius Technologies Inc. (AMPX, Financials), the developer of high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries, reported another excellent quarter as customer demand continues to increase.Revenue grew to $34 million, more than double from a year earlier and topping Wall Street estimates by over $5 million. The company also posted an adjusted loss of 2 cents per share, in line with projections.Amprius lifted its 2026 revenue target to $140 million or more, implying management believes the upswing would persist. It also reaffirmed its goal for adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization at least at $4 million.What makes Amprius' batteries attractive is their simplicity: they are made to store more energy, without the weight. They are beneficial for drones, aviation and other applications where weight is a factor.The next difficulty is to turn the fast sales increase into stable earnings and cash flow.Investors will now look at fresh customer wins, production capacity and profitability for evidence Amprius can develop a durable business around its technology.
