Donald Trump briefly hurried after a little boy who wandered across the stage during an event on Wednesday, before turning the moment into a jab at former President Joe Biden.
The president had welcomed a family onstage during a speech touting his administration's economic record at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.
He praised Sandra, a waitress at a nearby casino, and her husband Brad, a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer, claiming they had saved thousands of dollars thanks to his no-tax-on-tips and no-tax-on-overtime policies.
But as Sandra began speaking, her young son suddenly darted across the stage.
"Sorry, excuse me, I have a little mom brain going on right now, so sorry," she said, as Trump moved after the youngster to stop him from going off the platform.
As the audience laughed, Trump caught up with the boy before joking: "I didn't want him to be like Biden and fall off the stage."
The remark appeared to reference Biden's fall during a U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado in 2023.
The boy then returned to his mother, who thanked Trump before continuing her comments.
