A woman and her 6-year-old child were killed Thursday afternoon when an all-terrain vehicle overturned in Wellsville, according to New York State Police.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, on Niles Hill Road in Wellsville, Allegany County, police said.
Ashley R. Robichaud, 38, of Wellsville, was driving the ATV with her two children, ages 6 and 3, when the crash occurred.
Robichaud was driving along a fence line in a pasture when the ATV overturned at the lowest point of the pasture, trapping Robichaud and her 6-year-old child underneath, according to state police.
The 3-year-old child survived the crash.
State police are continuing to investigate the crash.
