Howell police have had enough of teenagers breaking into an abandoned movie theater in town and then posting videos of their antics on TikTok.
Township police took to Facebook on Monday night, warning people to stay out of the former Xscape movie theater on Route 9.
Police said there had been "numerous break-ins, acts of criminal mischief and repeated trespassing."
The videos posted on social media have encouraged others to try to enter the theater, which closed during the coronavirus pandemic more than five years ago.
Even though building management has tried to make it harder to get in, people have continued to find ways inside.
There is extensive damage inside the building, creating safety hazards, according to police.
Authorities said anyone caught inside will face criminal charges. Howell police didn't immediately return a call from NJ.com seeking information on whether arrests had been made and on the extent of the damage.
"Parents are encouraged to speak with their children about the serious legal and safety consequences of entering this property," police said.
The theater, which opened in 2016, featured 70-foot screens and power recliners.
