We're on a SEVERE WEATHER ALERT from the Boston 25 Weather Team due to a severe thunderstorm warning in our area.

This alert is in effect for Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire County until 8 p.m.

According to Boston 25 Meteorologist Vicki Graf, most towns in Massachusetts today will stay dry, and even where storms develop, they will be hit-or-miss.

Boston likely wouldn't see anything until after 8 p.m.

The main concerns with any storm will be heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds, Vicki said.
