A stabbing was reported during last weekend's "Raft Off" on Lake St. Clair, officials confirmed Monday.

A fight Saturday on Lake St. Clair at Muskamoot Bay on Saturday resulted in a 21-year-old man being stabbed in the back, Erika Hrynyk, the public information officer for the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, told The Detroit News.

The 21-year-old declined medical treatment at the scene, she said.

The stabbing suspect was expected to be arraigned Monday.

Authorities were slated to release more details after the arraignment.

The stabbing occurred during "Raft Off," an annual event that draws thousands of boaters to Lake St. Clair.

Officials said it started as a one-day gathering and expanded into a multiday party for boaters and campers.

Ahead of the event, sheriff's officials urged attendees to prioritize water safety, citing risks that increase with the size and duration of the gathering.
