A man has been charged with concealing the body of his girlfriend's 2-year-old son.
Dairon Keith of Kennesaw, Ga., was charged with two felonies: concealing the death of another and making false statements, according to inmate records reviewed by PEOPLE on Monday, Aug. 10.
Keith, 23, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 8, and is being held without bond in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
On Friday, Aug. 7, 2-year-old Messiah Harris was reported missing. An individual watching the boy told police he was last seen around 1:30 p.m. local time at an apartment complex on 8 Ridge Run in Marietta, Ga., the Marietta Police Department (MPD) said in a statement on social media. In an update posted at 8:50 p.m. on Friday, the MPD said Messiah's body had been found.
"Tragically we can now confirm Messiah's body was located," MPD wrote in the statement. "Detectives are on scene working to collect evidence and determine what happened. Please join us and pray for his family."

It is not immediately clear if Messiah, who was just weeks away from his 3rd birthday, was in Keith's care when he went missing.
Messiah's body "had been in the woods a considerable amount of time," MPD said in a press release shared with PEOPLE.
Keith allegedly "made false statements" to Cobb County 911 dispatchers and responding officers, MPD said.
"Based on the investigation, Dairon is accused of placing Messiah's deceased body the woods behind the apartment complex and loosely covering the body with dirt and vegetation," MPD said.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office and MPD are investigating the incident. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues, per MPD.
