President Donald Trump last month secretly swapped planes in Turkey due to a security threat, according to reports. Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, the entire switch may have been caught on camera.

John Hudson, one of The Washington Post reporters who broke the story, shared footage on X that may show the moment, although the president himself can't be seen:

Trump arrived in Turkey last month for a NATO summit in his newly outfitted Air Force One, which had been gifted to him from Qatar. But shortly before leaving, Trump announced that he would be sending the plane on to the United Kingdom, and departing on an older Air Force One aircraft instead.

He boarded the older Air Force One plane from the front, but ― according to the Post ― almost immediately walked to a catering truck container, which was elevated on the opposite side of the plane. Once hidden in the container, Trump was taken to a waiting U.S. military C-32A aircraft.

The press remained on the older Air Force One plane, unaware that the president had left. Even many of his staff were not informed, per the Post.

All three planes arrived in the United Kingdom, where Trump ― once again, in secret ― returned to the older Air Force One and exited as if he had been aboard for the entire flight.
