An investigation is underway in Bristol Borough, Bucks County, following what authorities are describing as a "serious domestic incident."
Detectives responded Thursday morning to a home on the 1300 block of Wood Street near Taylor Street.
Officials have released few details about the incident. Action News has learned that one person is dead and another person is being questioned.
Investigators spent the day canvassing the neighborhood and interviewing residents as they worked to determine what happened.
"I'm a nervous wreck. My insides are jumping. Nothing ever happens around here," said neighbor Irene Hauser. "The people that this is all about, I guess, are sweet people."
Families living near the home said they were concerned as they awaited more information from authorities.
Some neighbors reported seeing an ambulance arrive around 7 a.m. before police closed off the street.
With crime scene investigators processing the property, residents said they were shocked to see such a large law enforcement presence at the home.
"It's just a very sad situation," neighbor Karen Samsel said. "Prayers and thoughts are with them because they are a good family."
Authorities have not identified the person who died.
Authorities are calling this an isolated incident, saying there's no danger to the community.
