A Polk County Circuit Judge sentenced a Stayton man to six years and three months in prison for sexually abusing an adult with special needs in his care.
Chance William Grooms, 25, pleaded guilty to first degree sex abuse and pleaded not guilty to first degree rape, court records show.
Judge Monte Campbell dismissed the rape charge, court records show.
The victim was in Groom's care at a Monmouth group home at the time of the incident, court records show.
He will serve approximately 3 1/2 years post-prison supervision, court records show. Grooms is also required to register as a sex offender.
Grooms will serve his sentence in the Oregon Department of Corrections, court records show.
