Alpha Wealth Funds, LLC, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 letter for the "Insiders Fund". A copy of the letter is available to download here. The Fund lost 1.45% in June, while it was up 8.43% for the 2nd quarter and 0.75% YTD. This compares to the S&P 500's -0.95%, 15.2%, and 9.98% returns, respectively, over the same period. The fund underperformed while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 posted their best quarter in six years. A significant factor in this decline is a ~30% concentration in Alphabet stock, which shifted from a cash-generating asset to a capital-intensive posture following a major stock offering to fund data centers. The performance of the fund was further hampered by losses in AI semiconductor stocks like AMD and Intel, which were sold prematurely. The letter concluded with a commitment to risk management while acknowledging the possibility of mistakes in investment strategy. Insiders Fund stated the following regarding Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): Global leader in semiconductor design and manufacturing. ● Insider Buying/Selling: Based on recent financial reports and SEC Form 4 filings, Intel Corporation (INTC) has seen virtually no significant open-market insider buying over the last 90 days although the U.S Government, Nvidia, and others have taken significant stakes last year.
Recent News: The primary driver behind Intel's massive year-to-date stock rally (surging over 240% in H1 2026) was an announcement on June 18, 2026, when President Donald Trump stated on social media that Apple (AAPL) agreed to partner with Intel to design and manufacture chips domestically in the U.S. While neither Apple nor Intel has formally signed or finalized details, Wall Street viewed this as a monumental validation of Intel's 18A and 18A-P manufacturing nodes. Analysts at Reuters point out that actual high-volume production for Apple chips would still be two to three years away (expected around late 2027 to 2029), presenting long-term execution risks. SpaceX unveiled Terafab in March 2026, a semiconductor venture with Tesla, xAI, and Intel to build chips for orbital AI data centers, with initial investment of $55 billion and total investment of $119 billion, where Intel contributes 14A manufacturing process. Intel stock surged 425% over the past year under CEO Lip-Bu Tan, with the company mastering 18A manufacturing for 1.8 nanometer chips to compete with TSMC and AMD.2…" (Click here to read the full text)
