A long list of familiar faces are throwing their hats into the ring for the municipal elections in November.

Qualifying deadline for city council candidates in Fellsmere, Sebastian and Vero Beach was noon Aug. 14. City council members are elected to two-year terms. Voters will make their decisions at the Nov. 3 General Election. Only registered voters who live within the city limits are eligible to vote in municipal elections.

The town of Indian River Shores will have no election, as only three candidates filed to fill the three seats up for election. Elected without opposition were Pat Brier, for a two-year term ending November 2028; and Theresa Morgan and Robert "Rob" Stevenson, for four-year terms ending November 2030. The town's qualifying period ended July 24.

The town of Orchid, which held its qualifying period in April, also will have no election. Only three candidates filed to fill the three seats up for election. Elected without opposition were Paul Stach, Bill James and Tracy Cornwell.
