Flooding, crash causes delays for I-95 commuters to Philly
South Jersey commuters heading into Philadelphia may face some delays this morning.
Overnight flooding on Interstate 95 caused lane restrictions for northbound travelers on the Betsy Ross Bridge early Aug. 17.
This flooding affected roadways from Exit 26: Betsy Ross Bridge - New Jersey to Exit 30: Cottman Avenue/Rhawn Street in Philadelphia, according to 511PA Philadelphia, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation traffic service.

Additionally, a multi-vehicle crash took place at approximately 5:30 a.m. near Exit 26. This led to lane restrictions and heavy delays between Exit 26 and a mile North of Exit 27: I-95 North – Trenton.
Currently, there are no additional details about the crash. Officials have not said if anyone was injured during the incident.
At the time of publication, 511PA Philadelphia has closed the two traffic alerts, meaning that lane restrictions have ended.
Still, travelers should still allow for extra time and drive with caution as water may still be on roadways.
