The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a Geismar suspect following an investigation conducted by the juvenile unit.

According to an APSO news release, 36-year-old Robert Ferguson was booked on five counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and three counts of computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

Deputies investigated inappropriate online communication with an individual believed to be a 13-year-old female, per the release.

Bond was set at $175,000 and the investigation remained ongoing, the report included.

In an unrelated release, APSO announced deputies were attempting to identify the driver of a vehicle that ran off the road and traveled through two cemeteries, causing more than $10,000 in damage to graves, caskets and fences.

APSO posted a surveillance video on its Facebook page showing the crash, which happened Aug. 10 along Hwy. 933, across from the Household of Faith Church Galvez campus.
