Taste of Bengal plans to open its third location in Edison, with a grand opening scheduled for Aug. 1–2, according to a Facebook post by the restaurant.
The new location, located at 1528 Oak Tree Road in the Iselin neighborhood, will operate from noon to 11 p.m. during its opening weekend.
The Edison restaurant will offer authentic Kolkata- and Bangladeshi-style food to customers in New Jersey and New York. The restaurant plans to provide delivery service to locations in northern New Jersey, including Parsippany, Jersey City, Hoboken and Secaucus, as well as New York.
The menu will feature Kolkata biryani, egg chicken roll, Mughlai paratha, kachhi biryani, chop cutlets, luchi and kochuri, among other items.
The restaurant indicated that details about table bookings and the full menu will be announced in a future post.
The restaurant already has a location in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and is planning one for Charlotte, North Carolina. The restaurant announced that its Charlotte location is still in its final phase of development.
The restaurant currently delivers catering around New Jersey on Fridays.
