DeSoto police detained a man accused of fatally shooting an 18-year-old inside a home Sunday.
The 18-year-old was found shot inside a home in the 1300 block of Sequoia Court after a witness called 911 around 4:30 p.m. to report the shooting, DeSoto police said in a news release.
Police said several people were inside the home when they arrived. The unidentified man was shot one time in the chest and taken to a hospital, where police said he later died.
Another18-year-old male was detained by officers at the home. Police said the "believed to be the shooter" is not related to the 18-year-old shot.
