SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A suspect in a July shooting was arrested by Shreveport police on Thursday.
SPD announced the arrest of Anthony Price, 56, after identifying him as the suspect in a shooting on July 25, in the 5600 block of Broadway Avenue. Police said the male victim was shot six times and underwent emergency surgery at LSU Ocshner.
Information acquired through witnesses to the shooting led police in search of a man known as "Fish," a nickname that Price is also known by.
Police secured a warrant for Price's arrest, and on August 19, SPD was called to investigate a suspicious person in the area of Henry Street and Kennedy Drive. When officers arrived, they located a man matching the description given to dispatch sitting near a home in the area.
Price was positively ID'd by patrol officers, and a warrant check confirmed the outstanding warrant for attempted murder; he was arrested without incident.
