An iconic Louisville restaurant business is on the market, Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Kentucky Senior Director Craig Collins told The Courier Journal Aug. 20.

KingFish Restaurant and its two restaurant properties are available for $14 million and has been a Louisville staple since the 1948 Kentucky Derby, Collins said.

Collins called both riverfront properties "irreplaceable locations." He said the Louisville location, located at 3021 River Road, is priced at $8 million, while the Jeffersonville location, located at 601 W. Riverside Drive, is priced at $6 million.

A spokesperson for KingFish's corporate office told The Courier Journal that the owners, who wish to remain private, are looking to retire.

Collins said the properties would ideally be sold together and to someone who sees value in KingFish as an ongoing operation and wishes to continue with the company legacy, but added the space's commercial zoning allows for a number of additional opportunities.

Both KingFish locations will remain open while on the market, Collins said.
