Residents in the Fox Valley are still picking up the pieces following the tornado that tore through the area on July 27.
To help those affected, eight local breweries across the valley have collaborated to make a signature beer.
Scott Krebsbach, operations manager at Vault 202, said all proceeds from the beer will go to a tornado relief fund.
"We're pretty busy organizations, all of us breweries, so it's hard for us to get together at times," Krebsbach said. "It's disappointing that it took something this disastrous to bring us all together but it's happening fast and the goal is to get the money out to the community as soon as possible."
The signature beer, called Fox Valley Strong Pale Ale, began the brewing process on Aug. 19.

"It's a pale ale that's going to be lighter in flavor and not aggressively hoppy," Krebsbach said. "It'll have some nice citrus notes to it and a lighter color, a tad on the orange side."
Krebsbach said the ingredients were sourced locally and donated, allowing the cost of making the beer to be even lower. Malt was donated by Valley Brewer's Supply, hops were donated by Wisconsin Hop Exchange and yeast was donated by Lallemand.
The eight local breweries that collaborated on Fox Valley Strong Pale Ale are:
Vault 202 Brewery, 202 W. College Ave., Appleton
Hop Yard Ale Works, 512 W. Northland Ave., Grand Chute
McFleshman's Brewing Co., 115 S. State St., Appleton
Appleton Beer Factory, 603 W. College Ave., Appleton
Lion's Tail Brewing, 116 S. Commercial St., Neenah
Stone Arch Brewpub, 1004 S. Olde Oneida St., Appleton
Timber Tap Brewing, 100 S. Birch St., Kimberly
Fox River Brewing, 4301 W. Wisconsin Ave., Grand Chute
The beer will be available at all eight breweries beginning Sept. 4, and Krebsbach said the goal is to collect at least $10,000 for tornado victims.
Although all eight breweries collaborated equally on the beer, Krebsbach said he wants to give credit to owners of McFleshman's and Hop Yard for spearheading the idea.
