BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — The City of Bay Minette has received funding through a Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act grant that will allow the city to upgrade the Kids Park.

According to a city news release, the $900,000 grant will "support major renovations" at the McMillan Avenue park.

"Kids Park has been an important place for families in Bay Minette for many years, and it holds a special place in the hearts of so many residents," said Mayor Joshua Brown.
