FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — The woman accused of plotting to kill her ex-husband, Angelia Solomon, was back in court on Friday.

Solomon's attorneys argued on Friday for evidence to be removed before the trial begins.

Solomon is accused of meeting with an undercover officer last year who was posing as a hitman to plot her ex-husband's murder. She's being charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder.

Judge Joseph Woodruff heard from both Solomon's attorneys and the state prosecutors on several concerns. One of them was a motion to suppress evidence from her cell phone.

Solomon's attorneys are arguing the cell phone was taken during an improper search without a warrant. They're arguing police used a "tactic or psychological ploy" which led Solomon to give them access.

Her attorneys also believe her current bond conditions are too restrictive, and their arguing she'd be allowed to travel instead of on house arrest, where she's been for nearly a year.

But the state said Solomon could be a public safety risk.

And if someone isn't with her at all times, they're worried she'll use someone else as a pawn.

"Their main concern is that she would have somebody else do her bidding," Angelia Solomon's defense attorney, Darren Richie, said. "She is able at this time to have anybody come over to her house. That could be accomplished at her house; she doesn't need to be mobile to go and do that."

Solomon's attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the charge, claiming it was a case of entrapment. The judge is considering proof as to whether Solomon was entrapped in the case. At the next hearing, he'll be considering the motion to dismiss charges altogether.

The judge is taking the motion on Solomon's travel restrictions and suppressing evidence under advisement. Her next court date is set for Aug. 28.
