A 52-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly shooting two teenagers in Moreno Valley, killing one and leaving the other hospitalized, authorities said.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 13000 block of Glorybower Street around 6:36 p.m. Thursday.

When deputies arrived, they found two males suffering from gunshot wounds at a nearby fire station, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, where a 17-year-old Moreno Valley resident was pronounced dead. The other victim, an 18-year-old Moreno Valley resident, remained in stable condition as of Saturday.

The Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit took over the investigation and identified 52-year-old Moreno Valley resident Manuel Gomez as the suspect, officials said.

Investigators located Gomez on Friday in the 13000 block of Glorybower Street and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of murder.

Authorities have not released the 17-year-old victim's identity or said what may have led up to the shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details were immediately released.
