A two-car accident Saturday night in Montgomery killed two people, including a local mother of four who had built a wide following on social media by charting her life journey.
On Aug. 22, at 2:15 a.m. police went to a two-vehicle crash on southbound lanes of Interstate 85 between Taylor Road and Chantilly Parkway, said Lt. Tina McGriff, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. Officers found Alyshia Rushing, 26, the driver of a 2013 Kia Sorento, who had fatal injuries and was pronounced dead, she said.
A female passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The officers also found the driver of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma, Landon Dunn, 20, who had fatal injuries and was pronounced dead, McGriff said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, she said.
Rushing was known on TikTok as "Mama A" and had about 500,000 followers. She posted about her life as a mother and activities with her four young children.

"There are no words that can fully express the pain of losing someone so suddenly. That heartbreak is especially deep for Alyshia's four precious children: Karter, Raelynn, Zoey, and Aydan," stated a GoFundMe established after her death. "Alyshia was their mother, caregiver, provider, safe place, and greatest source of love. Her children are now facing an unimaginable loss while also adjusting to the practical changes that come with life without her."
Rushing's death was mourned on social media channels.
"Just one day before her passing, Alyshia posted a video doing what she loved most: living the mom life with her babies," STK Embrace Life Media posted on Facebook. "Our hearts are with her children, family, friends and supporters. She will be deeply missed."
