CRAWFORD COUNTY, Iowa (KCAU) — One person is dead, and another was life-flighted after a crash in Crawford County on Monday afternoon.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol (ISP), a Lexus was headed westbound on Highway 30 when it turned onto Chamberlain Drive just outside Denison, Iowa, at the same time a Peterbilt truck was headed eastbound on Highway 30, a divided four-lane highway.

The report states that the Lexus was on Chamberlain Drive between the east and westbound lanes of Highway 30 when the driver pulled out from Chamberlain Drive in front of the Peterbilt headed east, hitting the passenger side of the vehicle.
According to ISP, the driver of the Lexus, Mohit Sharma, 33, of Denison, was life-flighted to a hospital, and the passenger of the Lexus, Himalkumar Patel, 29, of Denison, was pronounced dead at the scene.
