At least one person has been killed in Ukrainian drone attacks in the Yaroslavl region of central Russia.
A further 27 people were injured, partly by falling drone debris, Governor Mikhail Yevrayev reported in a Telegram post on Friday.
Emergency services immediately extinguished several fires. A total of 67 Ukrainian drones were shot down, according to the report.
The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed the drone attacks in a statement published on social media. The target was reportedly an oil refinery, where a fire broke out.
Yaroslavl is situated north-east of the Russian capital, Moscow, and is approximately 700 kilometres from the Ukrainian border.
Elsewhere, the Ukrainian authorities reported that at least one person died in Russian drone attacks in the Bucha district near Kiev.
Two other civilians were also injured in the Kiev region, Governor Tymur Tkachenko reported on Telegram.
The targets of the Russian attacks were reportedly warehouses. More than a dozen residential buildings were also damaged.
Russia has been at war with its neighbour Ukraine since February 2022. In its counter-attacks, Kiev often targets Russian oil refineries, including some located a long way from the border.
