Meet the North Jersey adoptable pets of the week for July 31!
Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.
If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home, please send a photo, description and adoption information to [email protected] to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.
This week, we are featuring Electra and Freddie from Second Chance Pet Adoption League.
Electra is a scruffy girl who is full of puppy energy and just wants to have fun. She's under 20 pounds and is about 9 months old. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and ready for adoption.
Electra was abandoned and terrified at animal control, but comes out of her shell very quickly with treats or toys. She is affectionate and playful. She plays rough with other dogs and does better with males her size or bigger, no cats or tiny dogs. The shelter is fairly certain she is a shit tzu and bully breed or terrier mix.
Freddie is a tiny, scruffy, 2- to 3-year-old terrier mix. He's shy at first but warms up fast, turning into a playful little live wire who loves to wrestle with his dog friends.
He's only 10 pounds, is working on crate training, housebreaking, and getting used to walking on a leash. Freddie would like a home with a confident doggie playmate to help socialize him.
Electra and Freddie are both being fostered in North Jersey and can be met by appointment. If you are interested in either of these pups, email [email protected] for an adoption application and to schedule an appointment.
