Aroma Joe's, one of the nation's fastest-growing handcrafted beverage franchises, is celebrating a milestone first half of 2026, highlighted by national recognition as the No. 5 Best Coffee Chain in America in the Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards, surpassing several larger, nationally recognized brands.

The ranking reflects continued momentum for the Maine-based brand, which has paired industry-leading franchise growth with an unwavering commitment to delivering handcrafted beverages, exceptional customer service and meaningful community impact.

"Our first half of 2026 demonstrates that consumers are looking for something different: a coffee experience built around genuine human connection, handcrafted quality and convenience," said Dave Tucci, Chief Franchise and Development Officer of Aroma Joe's. "Whether it's customers voting us among America's favorite coffee brands or entrepreneurs choosing Aroma Joe's as their next business opportunity, we're seeing incredible validation that our people-first approach continues to resonate."

The Newsweek honor caps off an impressive six months for Aroma Joe's, which continues expanding its footprint across the East Coast while attracting significant attention within the franchise industry.

During the first half of 2026, Aroma Joe's:

Opened eight new locations across Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Florida, bringing handcrafted beverages and the brand's signature customer-first experience to new communities. An additional nine units are anticipated to open before the end of the year.

Added 11 additional unit commitments representing future development across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, including a three-unit area development agreement in the Scranton, Pennsylvania market.

Earned national franchise industry recognition through features in Franchising.com, 1851 Franchise, and QSR Magazine, highlighting the brand's disciplined growth strategy, franchise opportunity and differentiated drive-thru model.

Among the year's biggest growth stories has been Aroma Joe's continued expansion in Florida, where demand continues to increase as consumers embrace premium drive-thru beverage concepts.

Following the successful opening of its Cape Coral location earlier this year, Aroma Joe's expanded further into Southwest Florida with the opening of new locations in Port Charlotte and North Fort Myers, creating nearly 40 new jobs while strengthening the brand's presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.

While many brands pursue rapid expansion at any cost, Aroma Joe's continues focusing on strategic growth with experienced franchise partners who embrace the company's culture of positively impacting people. This disciplined approach has attracted increasing attention from prospective franchisees, positioning Aroma Joe's as one of the most compelling emerging concepts in the quick-service beverage category.

Today, the brand operates 136 locations across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Connecticut and New York, with additional locations in development throughout the East Coast.
