Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher has been convicted of three domestic violence offenses in Australia after failing to appear for his September 1 hearing.

Magistrate Janine Lacy recorded convictions for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault, according to Nine's report from Burwood Local Court. Lacy also issued a warrant for Gallagher's arrest.

New South Wales Police subsequently released a photograph of Gallagher, 28, while appealing for information about his whereabouts. Police say he is "believed to be offshore" and is known to frequent the Sydney suburbs of Ermington and Melrose Park.

Gallagher had pleaded not guilty before leaving Australia and disputed the public account of the case in an August statement. His comments came before the September hearing and the court's decision to convict him in his absence.

NSW Police announced the outstanding warrant on September 1 and released Gallagher's photograph as officers from Ryde Police Area Command continued efforts to locate him.

The agency describes Gallagher as approximately 165 centimeters, or about 5 feet 5 inches, tall with a medium build. Police say he is known to frequent Ermington and Melrose Park but is currently believed to be offshore.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts has been asked to contact Ryde Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

The Hollywood Reporter said representatives for Bravo and Gallagher did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the warrant.

Gallagher had been scheduled to appear at Burwood Local Court after pleading not guilty to the three charges. Gael Cameron, his former partner and Below Deck Mediterranean costar, attended court for the hearing.

Gallagher did not appear. The court was given information from immigration authorities indicating that he was overseas, and police prosecutors asked Lacy to deal with the charges in his absence.

Lacy recorded convictions on all three offenses and issued the arrest warrant. The court also finalized a two-year apprehended violence order protecting Cameron.

Gallagher had no prior Australian criminal convictions, according to reporting from the hearing. Lacy described the offenses as serious and noted their domestic violence context while recording the convictions.

NSW Police arrested Gallagher at an apartment complex in Melrose Park on December 27, 2025, after receiving a report that a woman known to him had been assaulted there the previous day.

He was taken to Gladesville Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault. Gallagher was initially refused bail before later receiving conditional bail.

Court reporting subsequently identified Cameron as the woman involved. Gallagher and Cameron met while filming Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean and later had a child together.

Days before the court hearing, Gallagher provided a statement to Rolling Stone disputing what he described as an incomplete public account of the incident.

He said he had contemporaneous video footage, messages and other records that he believed provided additional context. Rolling Stone reported that it asked to review the material before publication but did not receive it.

"I'm not claiming I was perfect. I wasn't. I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions," Gallagher said. He also said his priority was his son and finding a way to co-parent peacefully with Cameron.

Gallagher made those statements before he failed to attend the September 1 hearing and was convicted on all three Australian charges.

A separate bench warrant remains active in Ireland in connection with an unrelated assault charge.

Gallagher is accused of assaulting a man and causing him harm on Main Street in Dungloe on August 7, 2022. Irish outlet Donegal Daily reported that the warrant was issued by Dungloe District Court on April 8, 2025, after Gallagher failed to appear.

Gallagher pleaded not guilty in that case. No conviction or other final finding has been reported in the Irish proceeding.

Gallagher currently appears as bosun on Season 11 of Below Deck Mediterranean, which was filmed before his December 2025 arrest and continues to air on Bravo.
