Pacifica Hotels and its subsidiary, Furano Hospitality, have concluded a franchise agreement with Marriott International to establish the Westin Hokkaido Furano Resort in Japan.
The property will be situated near Kitanomine Gondola Station. It will be the first Westin Resort location in Japan.
Construction on the site started last month, and the opening of the property is scheduled for mid-2029.
Upon completion, the resort will feature 195 guest rooms and suites. Planned on-site amenities comprise a spa, indoor and outdoor bathing areas, and various guest services.
Dining facilities will include an all-day restaurant alongside an omakase dining counter.
Pacifica Hotels acts as an independent operator of global hotel brands, managing properties under franchise arrangements with Marriott International and IHG.
The company's operational portfolio includes venues running under the City Express by Marriott, Fairfield by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Garner by IHG, Holiday Inn & Suites, and Moxy banners.
The Hokkaido agreement expands Pacifica Hotels' management activities into the upper-scale and resort hospitality segments.
