From June 17-June 21, 13 members of the West Holmes FFA Chapter attended the Ohio Leadership Camp at FFA Camp Muskingum in Carroll County.
Members attending camp were: Shane Lorentz, Natty Lint, Mia Spencer, Reagan Mackey, Emma McDonnell, Courtney Crider, Cadence Martie, Una Holasek, Knox Vansickle, Tori Bell, Khole Schafer, Zara Schultz, and Skylar Fry. During camp, the students were divided into "tribes" with other schools that were attending, where they would eat and participate in games and activities with their "tribe."
Throughout the week, students attended 6 sessions of the "I Am" conference, which taught members how to be their best selves. The session topics included: Impact, Vision, Strength, Innovation, Inspiration, and Change. In the students' free time, they were able to do shooting sports, card playing, go motor boating, swim, canoe, kayak, paddle board, and many other activities. They also got to meet the entire 2026-2027 state officer team throughout their time at camp.
The camp hosted guest speakers from the United States Army who gave a speech and talked about some of the opportunities the United States Army has to offer. Students had a great time on their trip and would like to thank the United States Army for making the camp possible. They would also like to thank the Farm Bureau and our camp scholarship donors who allowed students to go.
