TRUMBULL COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) -- A new tool is making it easier to bike through the Valley.
Great Ohio Lake to River Greenway has a navigation tool, and it's helping riders find trails and see how communities connect.
The navigation tool brings different bike trails together all in one place, making it easier to plan a route and explore more of the Valley. The interactive map shows restrooms, information areas, parking along the trail, and so much more.
"We had been working on that as a coalition to try and get, you know? That sort of tool together so it makes it easier for someone that if they want to park their car up in Ashtabula County, ride their bike all the way to Mahoning, spend the night there and then ride back, you know, they can do that with more ease than trying to cobble together some paper maps or PDF maps. You know it's all in one location, they can access it and then go," Trumbull County MetroParks executive director Zachary Svette said.
There's also work underway to make sure those connections on the water.
Trumbull County MetroParks is looking to extend the Mahoning River Water Trail from Packard Park to the PA state line.
