LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) - A motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday after his motorcycle and a Hallsville Police Department vehicle crashed on Highway 80 in Longview.
Man arrested in connection with fatal Lindale hit-and-run
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Gregg County Sheriff's Office was pursuing the motorcycle along Highway 80 when they entered Longview. DPS told KETK News a Hallsville PD cruiser was reportedly stopped on the shoulder of Highway 80 when the motorcycle collided with it at around 10:52 p.m. on Tuesday.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. DPS is actively investigating the incident.
