Seabourn recently announced a new world cruise that will take passengers to 32 islands and more than 25 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage sites. The entire cruise lasts 138 days, meaning anyone who books it will be away for nearly five months.
Seabourn Quest will leave Miami on Jan. 7, 2029, and arrive in Lisbon on May 26. By the time it reaches Portugal, the ship will have traveled more than 32,000 nautical miles and stopped at 58 destinations in 31 countries and territories.
Seabourn opened bookings on Sept. 2. Some of the biggest stops include Easter Island, Bora Bora, Sydney, Singapore, Zanzibar and Cape Town.
The cruise will also visit Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands, Praslin in the Seychelles, Antsiranana in Madagascar and Burnie in Tasmania.

Passengers will not have to rush back to the ship after a few hours at every stop. The schedule includes 20 extended stays and eight ports where Seabourn Quest will remain overnight.
Those overnight stops are Lima, Easter Island, Bora Bora, Bali, Singapore, Sydney, Zanzibar and Cape Town. The ship will stay in Cape Town for two nights, while passengers will get two full days in Bora Bora.
There will also be longer days in Cartagena, Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, Colombo and several other cities.
Passengers taking the full cruise will receive a two-day, one-night trip through Bali. The plans include visits to villages, markets and temples before everyone meets back up with the ship.
In Cape Town, passengers will attend a private evening at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. The museum will open after hours for the group, with food and live entertainment included.
Some of the UNESCO sites along the route include Fiordland National Park in New Zealand, Stone Town in Zanzibar and the Sacred City of Kandy in Sri Lanka. Optional trips to Machu Picchu, the Taj Mahal, the Galápagos Islands and the Serengeti will also be available.
Of course, most people cannot leave home and cruise for 138 days straight. Seabourn plans to sell shorter sections of the cruise, although it has not released all of those dates and prices yet.
Passengers booking the entire cruise will receive round-trip business-class airfare, a hotel stay in Miami before departure, Wi-Fi and unlimited laundry. Depending on the suite, they can also receive up to $8,000 in onboard credit.
Anyone who books the full cruise or an eligible shorter section by Sept. 17, 2026, can receive 10% off. The full cruise currently starts at $76,499 per person based on double occupancy, or $152,998 for two people with taxes and fees included. Prices are subject to change.
