Man shot and killed in East Oakland

A man was found dead in East Oakland Friday night with a gunshot wound, according to Oakland Police Department.

Officers found the 33-year old man at 10:45 p.m. on the 9300 block of Walter Avenue, south of the Oakland Coliseum. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not provide the victim's name, pending notification of his family, or identify any potential suspects. No additional details were available about the shooting.
