As one of the country's most exclusive mountain towns, Big Sky may be famous for its winter slopes, but summers and falls in Montana are equally stunning. This year, fall is becoming an even more attractive time to head to Big Sky with the inaugural Big Sky Food & Wine Festival, taking place September 25-26, 2026. The food and wine festival will bring 50 award-winning chefs and 25 of the best winemakers up the mountain, hopefully right at the start of fall foliage.
The food festival will feature a grand tasting event at the Big Sky Events Arena each day, with bites and cocktails from chefs like Nancy Silverton, Ming Tsai, Eric Bost, and many more. There will also be live cooking demonstrations from select chefs and live music throughout the day.
In addition to the main festival events, there are special dinners taking place in the evenings that are ticketed separately. On Friday, three separate experiences are offered, including a dinner featuring Chef Roberto Alcocer from Valle (Oceanside, California) hosted at Montage Big Sky. On Saturday, Montage is hosting a special omakase dinner.
Tickets to the Big Sky Food & Wine Festival start at $600 for each day and $1000 for the weekend. VIP ticket holders also get access to an exclusive lounge featuring rare wines, a cocktail speakeasy from Please Don't Tell, and opening and closing parties with the chefs.
