MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) – A Georgia man on bond for a DWI-related offense was arrested after allegedly causing a crash in Marshall.
On Saturday around 5:39 p.m., the Marshall Police Department was called to the 1900 block of West Grand Avenue for a reported major crash that injured two adults and two children.
When first responders arrived, they were told that the driver of the second vehicle had fled the scene on foot. Marshall police officers and firefighters on the scene rendered aid to the injured victims, while others searched for the suspected driver.

With the assistance of community members, officers soon located Gerardo Alfredo Flores Pacheco hiding beneath a home near the scene. He was brought to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center Marshall for medical evaluations.
The suspect was arrested for four counts of intoxication assault, a third-degree felony for each offense if convicted; failure to stop and render aid, a third-degree felony if convicted; and resisting arrest.
Investigators later learned that Flores Pacheco was on bond for a DWI offense and wanted in the state of Georgia for prior DWI-related offenses.
