Former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia Byung J. "BJay" Pak is taking on a new role at Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines.

Pak announced that he has joined Delta as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
In a LinkedIn post, Pak said he was excited to begin the new chapter and praised Delta's culture and employees.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to work alongside Delta's talented professionals," Pak wrote.
Pak brings a background in both government and law to the position.

He served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia from 2017 to 2021 during the first Trump administration. Before that, he spent six years as an assistant U.S. attorney in Atlanta, where he prosecuted cases involving drug trafficking, money laundering, intellectual property and white-collar crime.
Pak also served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017. He represented the 108th District and served in several leadership and committee roles.
One of the more unusual cases from his time as a federal prosecutor was the 2006 investigation into an attempt to steal Coca-Cola trade secrets and sell them to rival PepsiCo.
Pak was one of the federal prosecutors on the case, which involved a Coca-Cola employee and two others. Prosecutors said the group attempted to sell confidential Coca-Cola information and product samples, with an eventual deal worth $1.5 million.
Pak later returned to private practice before taking the U.S. attorney position in 2017.
He resigned as U.S. attorney in January 2021 after more than three years leading the Northern District of Georgia
