STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) - The Teal House in Statesboro has named Ashley Lindsay to the position of Interim Executive Director.
The appointment is made possible through an engagement with Good Day Consultants, which is providing interim leadership and organizational consulting support to The Teal House during this period.
According to a press release sent out by The Teal House, Lindsay has over a decade of experience in grant management and nonprofit executive leadership. That includes her role for the past nine years as Executive Director/CEO of Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County.
Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Georgia's Executive Leadership Program for Nonprofit Organizations (ELPNO), class of 2024. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valdosta State University.
The new executive director had this to say about the appointment to her new position:
"I am honored to step into this role and to work alongside our multidisciplinary partners in this critical work. Our commitment remains, first and foremost, to the children, families, and survivors we are honored to serve, and to ensuring they continue to receive the advocacy and support they deserve without interruption."
The Teal House is Statesboro's regional sexual assault and child advocacy center. Lindsay's appointment to the position took effect on Friday, September 4.
