(NewsNation) — With Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen set to retire at the end of her term, the race for the open senate seat in New Hampshire has drawn fierce competition from both parties.
The seat is seen as one up for grabs for both parties in November. New Hampshire went for former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 by just two points.
Israel divide grows in Democratic Party after New York primaries
On the Democratic side, Rep. Chris Pappas, scientist Karishma Manzur, David Jarvis, John Vail and Maxwell Seal are running to keep the seat with the Democrats.
Former New Hampshire Sen. John Sununu, former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown, Andy Martin, Mary Maxwell, Richard McMenamon II, Sabrina Smith, Sky Danley and Tom Alciere are running on the GOP ballot.
President Donald Trump has endorsed Sununu, despite the former senator's past criticism of the president.
