A Frankfort mother charged with killing her young son, is expected in court Tuesday

Corie Walsh's attorney said the mother was having a psychotic episode when she allegedly killed her two-year-old son.

Walsh is expected to be in court Tuesday after being charged with first degree murder.

Walsh is being represented by Andrea Lyon. That's the Chicago attorney who represented Casey Anthony at one point. Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her daughter, Caylee, years ago in Florida.

The case is chillingly similar to the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, which witnesses told prosecutors, Walsh became very invested in, even texting friends about the case, hours before allegedly killing her own 2-year-old son in their Frankfort home.

Prosecutors said the toddler was found by a neighbor, hanging from a rafter in the basement of the home on Brook Stone Court.

That neighbor also allegedly found Corie Walsh in an upstairs bathtub with a knife in her hand, and cuts to her wrists and thigh.

Walsh's attorney said the suburban mother was having a psychotic episode.

Court documents said Walsh allegedly told investigators "she did this to her baby because he was the devil and the anti-Christ."

In a statement, Walsh's attorney called the situation a tragedy for the Walsh family, as they mourn the loss of a child.

Prosecutors said Walsh's husband was out of town when the incident happened.

An infant was home at the time, but was not hurt. Two other school-age children arrived home - around the time of the discoveries.
