Homeowner escapes safely after mobile home porch fire in Willimantic, officials say

WILLIMANTIC - Local firefighters said no injuries were reported in a mobile home fire that was extinguished Friday evening in Willimantic. 

Firefighters responded to a fire on a mobile home's porch, where damage to the residence was kept to a minimum, according to a Facebook post Saturday by Willimantic Fire Fighters Local 1033. 

The homeowner was able to exit the mobile home safely, the department said. 

The North Windham, Windham Center and South Windham volunteer fire crews also responded, according to the post.
