Police identify couple found dead in Enfield home, say no signs of double homicide

ENFIELD - Police on Wednesday released the names of the man and woman found dead in their home this week.

Michael Tellier, 47, and Amber Tetreault, 42, were found lying on the living room floor of a home in the 100-block of Fox Hill Lane on Tuesday, police said. The room, which had "evidence of heavy alcohol consumption and a large quantity of prescription medication, had been converted into a bedroom, police said.

There were no signs of trauma, and investigators don't believe their deaths were a double-homicide, police said.

"There's no evidence of that right now," Enfield Police Detective Lt. Keith Parent said Wednesday.

Most likely, he said, alcohol and other substances found at the scene were contributing factors in the deaths, but police have to wait for toxicology test results to confirm.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that more study and investigation is needed before the precise cause and manner of their deaths can be determined.

Asked if there were any notes or other signs of suicide, Parent said, "I don't believe that there was any evidence of that."

He said the two were found around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, apparently by another resident.

Police are familiar with Tellier and Tetreault and said they have been together a long time, Parent said.

"We've known them to be in a relationship," he said.

Tellier has convictions on his record for interfering with police/resisting arrest; threatening and violation of a protective order after arrests by Enfield police dating back to 2019, state records show. He also violated his probation more than once, the records show.

Fox Hill Lane houses a complex of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments called Fox Hill Apartments, according to the complex website. The apartments are off Elm Street, not far from Interstate 91.
