A north Georgia lineman is recovering after having a heart attack on the job.

Tim Trundle, a lineman from Walker County, was in Pennsylvania working to restore power after storms moved through.

According to friends, he will remain hospitalized in Pennsylvania until he is stable enough to come back to Georgia.

Trundle, a single father, does not get paid sick leave or vacation time, meaning that while he is hospitalized, he is not getting a paycheck.

"On top of the fear and uncertainty of a major medical emergency far from home, he is also facing the very real pressure of how to keep up with everyday expenses and provide for his son," friends wrote online.

His friends and community have rallied around him, raising more than $12,000 to support him and his son.
