Despite a wet and muddy start that delayed Lollapalooza for hours, the festival ended on a much drier note while other parts of the Chicago area were left flooded Saturday.

Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will counties were under a Flood Warning until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Northwest Indiana is under a Flood Watch until 1 a.m. Sunday.

A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect in Cook County and Lake County, Indiana until Monday 9 a.m.

The Chicago Bears Training Camp by LRS practice will not be open to fans on Saturday due to the weather. Tickets for Saturday's practice cannot be transferred to another date.

There were reports of ponding on highways and roads across the Chicago area.

"We bought about 15 cages. We weren't expecting this," Oak Brook Kennel Club co-owner Beth Eggers said. "This has been something that's been on our bucket list to kind of have prepared. But this morning, with everything kind of coming down, our staff being able to do that emergency purchase was fantastic."

BoricuaFest, which celebrates Puerto Rican culture in Elgin, was canceled due to the weather.

Day one of the Taste of Orland Park was canceled Saturday and will open at 3 p.m. Sunday, organizers announced.

As for Lollapalooza and the Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field, ABC7 meteorologists say the steady rain likely ends between 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

A ground stop was temporarily issued at O'Hare airport until 8:15 a.m. Saturday due to thunderstorms. The average delay for flights was about 15 minutes at O'Hare. At Midway airport, delays averaged about 36 minutes.

Also on Saturday, a retaining wall failure caused an inbound ramp on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago to partially collapse, the Illinois Department of Transportation said. It was not yet know if the partial collapse was caused by the rainy weather.

The inbound Kennedy ramp to Lawrence Avenue has now been closed as crews assess the damage and repairs, IDOT said Saturday afternoon.
