Micron Technology (MU) plans to provide additional cash and equity compensation to employees in Taiwan, with entry-level engineers set to receive average annual compensation of up to NT$3.4 million, according to media reports.
Employees hired before Aug. 29, 2025, are eligible for a special NT$1 million cash payment. Taiwan-based engineers will also receive equity awards under the company's annual merit program.

Frontline production workers are expected to receive fiscal-year rewards equivalent to 35 to 68 months of salary. A guaranteed minimum cash payment of NT$1.7 million, or about $53,000, is included in the package.
Micron employs roughly 15,000 people in Taiwan, a key manufacturing location where the company has invested more than NT$1.6 trillion. The compensation changes come as workers seek a larger share of the company's strong financial performance.
Micron and the Taoyuan union did not reach an agreement during mediation last week, according to Reuters.
