Twelve-time Grammy-winning country music star Chris Stapleton joined Meta President and Vice Chairman Dina Powell McCormick on Friday as blind veterans in Austin received free Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses and hands-on training through a Meta initiative to provide the technology to about 130,000 blind veterans nationwide.
The event at VFW Post 8787, held in partnership with the Blinded Veterans Association, introduced veterans to AI-powered glasses that can read labels, describe surroundings and provide other real-time information for people who are blind or have low vision.
