Customers can pick up a free T-shirt when they buy a large drink on Saturday as 7 Brew Coffee celebrates the opening of its new Fort Smith location.
The drive-thru coffee shop at 4520 Phoenix Ave. will host its Swag Day from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 12. Customers who purchase a large drink during the event will receive a free 7 Brew T-shirt.
The Fort Smith location is the latest Arkansas location for the drive-thru beverage company, which was founded in Rogers.
"We're thrilled to continue 7 Brew's expansion in its home state of Arkansas," Jacqueline Dorris, community manager for 7 Brew Fort Smith, said in a news release. "We are passionate about cultivating kindness and brewing smiles through our unique drive-thru atmosphere, and we're proud to extend that passion into our partnership with the Fort Smith Children's Shelter."
The company also marked its opening by raising $16,303 for the Fort Smith Children's Shelter.
During a donation weekend Aug. 28-30, customers were invited to try 7 Brew drinks and pay what they wanted, with the proceeds benefiting the shelter. The fundraiser was part of the company's Caffeine for a Cause effort.
"One of the greatest gifts our community can give a young person aging out of foster care is the reminder that they don't have to navigate adulthood alone," Jensen Long, director of development for the Fort Smith Children's Shelter, said in the release.
Long said money raised through the program helps provide housing, life skills, guidance and encouragement for local young people transitioning out of foster care.
The opening also coincides with the launch of 7 Brew's fall menu.
Seasonal offerings include an Original Pumpkin Blondie, Caramel Apple Pie Macchiato, Drizzled Apple 7 Brew Energy Frozen Chiller, Apple Butter Chai Latte and Pumpkin Roll Shake.
