CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man was shot during a street takeover early Saturday morning in south Charlotte, according to a report from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around 2:15 a.m. on September 12, officers responded to the 13800 block of Ballantyne Corporate Place about a discharged firearm.

According to the report, a 22-year-old man was shot during a street takeover. He was reportedly hospitalized with serious injuries.

The report says there were multiple firearms, ammunition, and drugs found at the scene.

The report did not detail if any arrests were made or if anyone is in custody.
