With temperatures starting off in the 50s for your Tuesday morning commute, it's a taste of fall. The last time DC started with morning lows in the 50s, we have to go back to June 3rd, so it's been a little while since temperatures have been this cool and crisp.

After needing the jacket in the morning, we'll see temperatures bounce back into the upper 70s to lower 80s in the afternoon under plenty of sunshine and low humidity.

Wednesday will be another crisp start, just not quite as cool as Tuesday morning. It will also be a little warmer Wednesday afternoon with highs into the lower to mid-80s under mainly sunny skies.

You'll want to take advantage of both Tuesday and Wednesday before the humidity and some more heat return towards the end of the week. Thursday brings back more of the humidity with highs into the upper 80s under partly sunny skies. Friday brings back the wet weather as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Highs on Friday will also be in the upper 80s with higher humidity with isolated showers and storms developing into the afternoon/evening.

Behind the front, highs are back into the mid-80s both weekend days, with a better chance of showers/storms Sunday. We kick off the next work week with highs around 80 under mainly cloudy skies while fall begins next Tuesday.
