Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her and she will be remembered for the gentle strength and steady grace with which she carried herself throughout her years.
She was the daughter of Eva Margret Lambert Spencer Gibson and Virgil Raymond Spencer. Mary was also a beloved sister to Dennis Olaf, Lawrence "Tinker" Franklin, Allen Spencer and Leona Marie Jenkins. Family was central to Mary's life and she cherished the bonds she shared with those closest to her. She was a devoted wife to Thomas W. Bailey and together they shared a life built on love, commitment and mutual care. Mary was a loving mother to Charles W. Bailey and Christine L. Humphrey and she treasured her role as grandmother to April N. Bailey, Elizabeth M. Humphrey and Allen James "A.J." Humphrey. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Mason A. Humphrey Bates, a blessing that added even more joy to her family legacy.
Mary dedicated many years of service to others through her work at Lakewood Hospital, where she retired as a CNA. Her calling as a caregiver was evident in the way she treated people with dignity, patience, and compassion. She offered not only physical care, but also comfort and encouragement to those she served. Her work was more than a job to her and she fulfilled it with a servant's heart. Those who worked alongside her and those she cared for will remember her as dependable, kind and deeply committed to helping others in their time of need.
Outside of her work and family responsibilities, Mary was known for her joyful spirit and her love of simple happiness. She loved being silly and having fun and that lighthearted nature brought laughter and warmth wherever she went. She had a gift for making others smile and she often reminded those around her that life should be embraced with gratitude and joy. Her cheerful personality and genuine sense of humor were among the many things that made her so special.

Though her passing leaves a deep sorrow in the hearts of those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her earthly journey has ended, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
